Drive an hour and 15 minutes west from Campbell River on Highway 28 to the town of Gold River. From there, proceed west on a well-maintained gravel road for the remaining 64 kilometres to the Village of Tahsis where your west coast adventure begins.

Vancouver Island can be reached via Ferry from Port Angeles, Seattle, Tsawwassen, Vancouver, Powell River and Prince Rupert.

When traveling to Vancouver Island it is a good idea to make ferry reservations. The summer can be very busy and leaving the ferry to chance isn't a great idea.
